Horse Rading

The charm of the landscape is stunning and the personal contact is the best way to contemplate it. Deep into the woods, crossing streams, horse riding along the shores of the lake, are part of the great adventure that one will live in Patagonia.



Horse riding: Cajón del Azul



Duration

Schedule


We leave at 09:00 hrs. from Warton field on the coast of Azul river, initiating a 500 meters descend to "Las Orquetas" (confluence of the Azul and Blanco rivers) to penetrate in the Cordillera de los Andes, starting the climb through forest trails, where you can observe the understory florae and wildlife of the Andean-Patagonian forest, dominated by antarctic beech, coihues, cypress trees and ferns. We Pass by two viewpoints with panoramic views of the Mallín Ahogado's people and the mountain landscape. Arriving at Puesto Viejo, a 15-minute break, opportunity to drink something. There, we find a coihual, cane colihue and the Azul river rapids, most of the final tour will be the canyons along the Azul river, which we will cross, at the height of the shelter, to reach the Cajón. The tour is done at stride speed (slowly), arriving at the Refugio at 12 hrs. approx. Moderate ride level. Capacity: Minimum 4 pax - Maximum 8 pax.



Schedule


Departure at 08:00 hrs. of the first day from the Azul River Camping. We'll cross the river and then travel about 400 meters along its banks and start ascending through forest trails where native species such as antarctic beech, cypress, retamos and lengas can be appreciated. The tour is done at stride speed is with a duration of 5 resting stages and lunch (take a picnic). We will arrive at Refugio del Cerro Lindo at 14:00 hrs, approximately.

Cerro Lindo - Three days

Moderate ride level and treeking. Capacity: Minimum 4 pax - Maximum 8 pax.



Schedule


First day, as the previous package. Second day from 09:00 hrs. Trekking through the demanding Cordillera, along the shores of Lali Lake. We will return to the Refugio through the Esmeralda Lake and the glaciers, arriving at 16:00 hrs. approx. Where you can watch the meanderings of its birth. Continue through the Perdido Valley and in the high peaks, observe the Tricolor and Lindo Lakes, the headwaters of the Blanco river and the Alicia hill. Third day, we will begin the return to the starting point around 10:00 hrs.



Recommendations


Bring warm clothes, sleeping bag and tent, packed food and supplies to stay, trekking shoes. Follow the guide's directives.
