The Cerro Perito Moreno, only 25 km from El Bolson, has a basic infrastructure for the practice of all types of skiing. The hilltop is situated 2216 meters above sea level and has a 750 m skiable slope that is used to generate a combination of different difficulties the hardest, the medium and the beginner slopes. There is also the possibility of off-piste skiing through the forest. It has a T-bar ski lift with a length of 1000m, with an authorized ski slope by the International Ski Federation. It also has two lifts drag systems and a Kasbborer 240 HP snow grooming machine. The ski resort has a mountain shelter equipped with rooms to accommodate 60 people approx. and a restaurant-tearoom with capacity for 100 people. There is also a place where you can rent equipment (boots, poles and tables) and ski clothes, sleds and snowboards. The whole area is surrounded by forests of Lengas, Antarctic Beech, Quilas or Colihues and receives abundant rainfall which is most likely to become heavy snow during the June to October period. The winter sports: conventional skiing, Ski touring (or cross-country skiing), snowboarding and mountain trekking. The Andino Piltriquitrón Club has a ski school that offers courses. |
